If you’ve read my Intentional Overnights post, you already know that when it comes to overnight arrangements, separate rooms are my preference. But if you don’t mind that I will steal the blankets, then I love that for you – and I mean that genuinely!
What is a Traditional Overnight?
A sleepover for two – perfect for wherever life has landed you. A boys’ trip, a solo work trip, or anything in between. When the evening winds down and the world goes quiet, there’s something to be said for ending it somewhere warm – beside me – rather than alone in your room.
You’re in town for work. The meetings were long, the day was longer, and the last thing you want is to order room service alone in your hotel room. You want company, genuine company… me 😉
You want someone who will be there when you finish a long day of meetings, and who will be there in the morning making you laugh over coffee before you have to go out and do it all over again.
Our Time Together
The shape of our night is largely yours to define: dinner, a nightcap, a movie and a glass of wine curled up together. We let it unfold however feels right. The best nights rarely follow a plan anyway, and the unscripted moments are almost always the ones worth remembering.
Then once we’ve both woken up slowly, perhaps we step out for a morning stroll and find somewhere nearby for coffee. Or maybe we never quite make it out the door… room service, tangled sheets, and nowhere immediate to be until the real world eventually comes calling.
Either way, we’ll squeeze every last drop out of the morning before we have to part ways.
The Accommodations
The dream setup is a spacious suite with a king bed, his and hers bathrooms, and a terrace to spill out onto when the evening calls for fresh air. Room service in the morning is always a welcome touch.
One small but important request: none of those gorgeous, glass-walled bathrooms, please. A little mystery is sexy!
A Final Thought
A sleepover with me isn’t just about having someone beside you through the night – it’s all about pillow talk, genuine connection and warmth.
